Ocular:
by Ibmland

Wow! Where do I begin? I guess some info on Ibmland would be nice.
Well, it all started waayyyy back in like 1992 I wanna say. That makes
Ibmland the first *ever* qbasic demo group (as far as I know). Our
first release, Anarchy was purely a joke. But like a nasty disease,
Ibmland spread. After our fitfh (or sixth?) demo Ibmland broke up. :(
The reason being that Gristle (aka Psycho BFG) and I (DefHo (aka 666))
were the only members contributing to Ibmland. So for a short while we
made demos under the name Lucifer. You can find Wormhole, a Lucifer
demo on the web still. I forget where. Just search "qbasic lucifer
wormhole" or something. Anyways, Lucifer was short lived. Gristle
moved away from me and I lost interest in programming. Years pass.
Then one day I started fiddling with qbasic again. And here we are...

Music:
You'll most likely have to change the path in runme.bat. E.g:

playspwn fishy.it \[insert correct path here]\oc3.exe

That is of course if you want to see it with music. If not, just run
oc3.exe.

I've experimented with different routines for playing music in qbasic,
but none of them worked with windows and my piece of ass sound card.

The player we ended up going with doesn't play .IT files too well.
If you wanna spend the bandwidth to get it, There is a much better
sounding version of the same song at:
http://smush.goombas.org/binary/etc.ogg

Just change fishy.it to etc.ogg in the batch file.

Or hell, just change it to your favorite britney spheres song if you're
into that sort of thing.

I'd love to get some mail about this demo (even if it's negeative). So
don't be shy.

The future of Ibmland:

Well, to be honest, I'm not sure that Ibmland has much of a future.
I'll always want to mess around with qbasic but like so many other QB
programmers I wanna move onto bigger and better things. Maybe I'll
still keep Ibmland around. If I got some fan mail that'd certainly
help (hint, hint, wink, wink).

Anyway, if you're still reading this thank you and enjoy the demo.
